VISIT FROM SANTA

We had 6 singers gone (5 to the Jazz Band Tour and 1 out with a flat tire) but Santa came to visit the Choir room and I had to take a picture. It was the perfect ending to our 2007 time together...except for Amy who was being the "child afraid of Santa". Gee...I hope she can get over that. "-)

After Santa left I handed out all the Honor Choir music and practice CDs (Thanks to Bob for burning so many of those CDs for us!!) and then we went caroling around the building to all the teachers requesting a bit of holiday cheer.

I hope you all had a great break and are ready to get busy on new music. See you Thursday!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS TO THE WALLBALL & BASKETBALL TEAMS

The Winter Concert is long over, but I wanted to post this picture of members of the T.H.S. Wallball Team as they decorated our auditorium Christmas tree. The tree was 13-14 feet tall and Mrs. Henderson needed the help.
Also, thanks to members of the T.H.S. basketball team for dragging the tree outside on the last day of school (sorry, I don't have a picture of that).

ZOOLIGHTS AND THE CHEESE FACTORY

Thanks to Stephanie for the pictures. The Vocal Ensemble sang at ZooLights this year. It was c-c-cold but dry. The lights were delightful. As for animals, Mrs. Henderson saw a mountain goat but not too much more wildlife.

Later in the month we sang at the Cheese Factory. It was much warmer and the ice cream coupons were quickly redeemed.

I'm not sure about these cotton candy facial attachments, but here's a bit of proof that we had a lot of fun this past holiday season.

ONE MORE DAY

There's one more day of school this December. The THS Winter Concert was last night (AWESOME PERFORMANCE, EVERYONE!!!) and we've begun turning in music and organizing the robes for the next concert...in March, by the way.

Today the Vocal Ensemble sang at the Cheese Factory (thank you Kristen for being our "mom" and holding purses and coats), South Prairie Elementary, Liberty Elementary, the Junior High and our good old THS. Tonight 8 members of the VE sang for the Netarts Community Club Christmas Party. What a great bunch of people! We had a wonderful time and ate some delicious desserts after our singing. I don't know about everyone, but I'm tired...especially my feet!

If anyone has pictures of December events I could post, send them to me. I'll get them included here. I haven't been taking pictures because of all the directing.

I hope you all have a great Christmas. I'll be deciding on new music for the All-Choir Concert in March. Rest your voices and be ready to "dig in" come January 3rd.

This picture was taken at Pizza Hut after the D'Ambrosio Master Class.
