FRUITCAKE AT OUR WINTER CONCERT

We had a great Winter Concert and the votes are in..."Fruitcake" was a smashing success.
It made a monumental mess, but we had a blast and the audience loved it . . . and I'm happy to say it was all cleaned up the next day in time for a 10 AM assembly.  

I'm so proud of each singer in every choir that performed.  You made the evening so enjoyable!

MUSIC ON THE MENU

Our first Music on the Menu of the year went great!  Sponsored by the Tri-M Music Honor Society, this lunchtime open mic session entertained as advertised:

CHORAL LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP 2015

Shelby and Wyatt traveled to Willamette University to attend the CLW with Dr. Wallace Long.  They came back ready to lead!  The Willamette Singers performed for us, too.

What a great turn out to sing the National Anthem at Homecoming!  We featured Mary Maffin who is a Vocal Ensemble Alum as she was home celebrating her THS Class Reunion.  Ya'll sounded great!

FALL CHOIRPALOOZA MONDAY

Wow...our first concert of the year is on Monday, October 26th @ 7 PM in the THS Don Whitney Auditorium.  This year is flying by! We'll be serving ice cream sundaes in the foyer immediately after the concert.  Grab a friend and come enjoy an evening of song and dessert....sounds good, huh?  See you there!!

HOMECOMING 2015

Once again, it's time for all Vocal Ensemble Alumni to gather at the flagpole by the THS track on Friday, October 2nd to help sing the National Anthem for the Homecoming Football Game.  I'll have music to refresh your memory.

This year we are happy to Mary Maffin (Class of '85) singing with us.  Because the Class of '85 is having their 30th Class Reunion this weekend, Mary will be singing the beginning of the song solo and we will join her where our Darmon Meader arrangement divides into parts.

See all you alumni at the flagpole at 6:30 to warm up and rehearse.

WELCOME BACK + UPCOMING EVENTS:

Week 1 is in the archives already....WOW!   Last night the Vocal Ensemble sang the National Anthem at our first home football game.  And...Tillamook won.  GO MOOKS!

Our Fall Choirpalooza is Monday, October 26th @ 7 PM with great music planned and an ice cream sundae social following the concert.  Mark your calendars now.

On Wednesday, November 11th, our THS Choir Department will join "forces"....or voices...with the Tillamook Community Chorus to sing an Armed Forces Medley at the Veteran's Day Celebration held at the Air Museum this year.  The Celebration begins at 11:00 AM.

DUNK TANK 2015

The Vocal Ensemble sat in the dunk tank again this year at the Tillamook County Fair to raise funds for our Spring Trip.
