There are various "Students of Merit" awards and this year Nathan Casteel was given the award. Since his freshman year Nathan has been deeply involved in the band, choral and drama programs.
Pictured here is Nathan in the green shirt...and green tie...and right behind him (in the white shirt) is Jordan Wolfe who did a "spot on" job as Masters of Ceremonies for the evenings festivities.
Nathan was unable to attend last night's Celebration due to his involvement in the North Oregon Coast Symphony. Even during a time of recognition he was busy "learning the trade" of music and sharing his talent with others. He hopes to someday be a band director and is going to attend George Fox University in the Fall.
