The first week of school has come and gone and it went extremely smooth thanks to you, singers. Thanks for working together and making me a happy director.
The Vocal Ensemble will be traveling to the Rose Garden Monday afternoon to audition for the Portland Trailblazer's National Anthem. Hopefully we'll snag one of the openings to sing at a game.
We have a Cookie Dough Fund Raiser starting on Wednesday, September 12th. Start thinking now of friends and family you can contact. The fund raiser will end on September 19th.
Our Concert Choir section leaders were elected yesterday. Congratulations to Becqua Rogers, Adriana Valencia-Ayala, Marcus Larsen and Jonathan Williams. I know you'll do a great job keeping your section focused and leading onward to a better choir.
In closing, I found this picture in my files today. I heard some THS men comment about how much fun it would be to sing in a Barbershop Quartet. This is a picture of a past quartet from THS..."Phat Daddy Cheddar and the Mozarella Sticks". The last quartet was "What's His Name and The Other Guys". Maybe it will inspire some of you....who knows?
