COWAPA CHOIR FESTIVAL COMING TO TILLAMOOK

This year Tillamook is hosting the annual COWAPA Choir Festival. Wednesday, March 19th our THS Don Whitney Auditorium will ring with the sounds of music as we all try our best to "make the grade". This is a State qualifying event where 3 judges adjudicate every choir that participates. More news on the results next month.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

This is my 14th year as the Tillamook High School and Tillamook Junior High School Choir Director for the year 2015-2016. (My 28th year with Tillamook School District #9...I taught elementary general music for 14 years.) I taught 3 years elementary general music in Kelso, Washington before teaching in Tillamook.

At THS I direct Mixed Choir (a non-auditioned choir), Concert Choir (an auditioned competition choir) and Vocal Ensemble (an auditioned touring choir).

At TJHS I direct the Mixed Choir and teach Drama.

I love my job.

I enjoy building relationships with my students and I love the way they quickly learn new techniques and grow in their musicianship. My hope is that I nurture a passion for music in my students.
