12 Vocal Ensemble members and 6 chaperones just arrived home this morning (at 1:30 AM) from our Spring Trip to the Bahamas. What a great trip!
Thursday, April 3rd we flew to Orlando, boarded the Sovereign of the Seas Cruise Ship and sang in Nassau (the capital city) plus sang a song in the dining room 2 nights - for our waiters.
Here Stephanie, Laura and Haley show our excitement on the pool deck...
We spent a lot of "waiting time" at the Portland and Orlando Airports and had 2 hour long bus rides, but I think everyone that went had a great time. Traveling with 18 people just takes a while. Between shopping, eating, sunning ourselves, eating, singing, eating....you get the idea....time went by quickly.
It was a cultural & musical experience we'll remember a lifetime. Our thanks to Donnie Munroe who was our contact in the Bahamas and a very, very nice lady. She presented us with a certificate from the City of Nassau that I will be framing and placing in the THS Choir Room.
Here's the 12 singers after our Formal Dinner on Saturday Night. Caitlin, Laura, Stephanie, Melissa, Haley, Beau, Sean, Marquise, Nathan, Mathew, Loren and Daniel.
Check out the slideshow in the left column for a whole array of more Bahama pictures. There should be more pictures to come as I've asked others to give me a copy of pictures off their cameras. I'm just glad nobody caught a picture of me at the frozen yogurt machine...I could be seen there often!! Until next time, we wish you fair sailing and...keep singing.
