SPRING CONCERT/ROAD TRIP 2008

I can't believe our Spring Concert is over for another year. It wasn't only a Spring Concert, though .... it was a road trip, too! We were unable to use our beautiful THS auditorium - see the post below - so we held our concert in the junior high gym. The acoustics were "mushy", but we had a great turn out of family and friends and the evening was a hit.

Mixed Choir sang out and had a nice balanced blend last night. I enjoyed seeing you have fun with "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".

Concert Choir had some glorious moments. The closest I came to "losing it" was during "O My Luve's Like A Red, Red Rose". You sang that song with emotion and it touched me. Thank you.

Vocal Ensemble ... you were the icing on the cake. Your Phantom medley was beautiful - the roses added such a nice touch. Thank you Melissa and Stephanie for providing those for us. I enjoyed watching you sing Africa. It "clicked" last night and it held together well at a rather speedy tempo.

The Concert Band numbers were inspirational. Maybe it was the tuba and trombone section?

One dad came up to me after the concert and said, "After a bad day, it's nice to come to a concert like this. It's appreciated more than you know." Your singing touched many hearts last night. Congratulations on a concert well done!
